Platycerium veitchii ‘High Finger’ (AUS): The Silver Crown

Platycerium veitchii ‘High Finger’ is an Australian staghorn fern form selected for tall, narrow shield-frond tips. They rise around the crown like a row of fingers waiting to be called on. The pale surface comes from fine hairs, while the fertile fronds add another set of lines beyond the shield. P. veitchii is an epiphytic fern; it naturally grows attached to supports. “AUS” and the exact clone identity should be verified against the supplier’s label before they become provenance claims. The silhouette, however, is already making its case. It has raised several hands and will take no further questions.
