Hillii "Dragon"

Platycerium hillii ‘Dragon’ is a broad-fronded staghorn fern with a silhouette that can look much larger than its mount. Shield fronds gather around the base; fertile fronds extend outward, giving the plant the shape that earned its name. P. hillii belongs to the epiphytic Platycerium group, whose members grow on supports and make two distinct kinds of frond. This selection’s exact lineage and any claim of unusually rapid growth need grower records. No lineage is required to notice that it enters a room before the rest of the plants. Subtlety was apparently out of stock.
